life under 2 suns

Sometimes after a rain, we will fly to a tiny nearby canal to swim & bathe in the morning before school & work…

This morning, I noticed that LB & Seala are growing very quickly here on Earth!  I was wondering if it is the food we eat…or maybe life under a different sun?

The days on our home planet are a little shorter than here on Earth…as are our years…(also, the force of gravity is much less on our planet, making it easier to glide & fly…)

Later on, we met our neighbors, the Tabasco family, out at the canal, & I took my friend Tabasco aside & asked her about this.  She had moved up from Louisiana after a huge storm, but she was not too concerned about raising her son in a new place, with a different climate & seasons.   She said that at first, it was quite an adjustment, but now they were happy in their new life… She said, “Clay Ball, your children are growing just fine, so don’t you worry!”

…but still I wondered…

There is another thing, too…at this age, every chid on our planet begins to build their own space kayak!  And LB shows no interest in this pursuit whatsoever!   He knows how to fly mine, but he should be starting to build his own, taking tiny flights, making it more space-worthy…

I asked my Mom Ball what she thought, & she said, “Clay Ball, you think way too much!  LB is fine!  Every child is unique…& every era & place has its own challenges…

…& Clay Ball, you certainly were not just like all the other little clay balls, &…that’s okay!”

Hmmm….maybe Mom Ball was right.  Not to worry…everyone is growing as they are meant to be!

What do you think, my dear readers?  How do you feel about raising children under two different suns?  Isn’t it just a tad confusing sometimes?

love,
